Once you have installed the plugin, and set up your project by entering your API keys and setting the gamemode, you are ready to run Datasculpt for the first time in your project.


  1. Click the Start Up button in the Datasculpt window.
  1. On first run Datasculpt will create an embedded database and server for the project so the DS window will be greyed out for a short period of time (~10 seconds).
  1. The red light will turn green and the Status at the bottom will read ‘Connecting’
  1. You will see the Datasculpt Server appear in the taskbar alongside Unreal.
  1. Windows will prompt you to allow connections, on either private or public networks or both.
  1. You will be logged in to the data hub

You can now add and access external data sources like log files and APIs in Unreal, but before you add a data source, you need to set up the scene. so the DS behaviours can use the data.
